Ship details are researched from Royal Caribbean’s official sources; personal notes reflect our own booking and plans.
Ship overview
Legend of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean Icon Class ship with seven pools, Category 6 waterpark, and entertainment across stage, ice, and the AquaTheater. With three sea days on our itinerary, there will be time to explore the ship between port visits.
Why we booked
We wanted to experience our first true mega-ship and see what all the excitement is about. After mixed experiences with Royal Caribbean, we’re giving one of its newest ships a try. The entertainment and activities are a big part of the appeal.
For this Spring Break, the ship itself is one of the biggest reasons we’re going.

What we’re planning
We sail April 3–11, 2027, roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, with calls in Curaçao, Aruba, Cabo Rojo, and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Three days at sea round out the eight-night itinerary.
We’ve booked a Neighborhood Balcony and My Time Dining. Our sailing page keeps the trip details together as plans develop.
Food & dining
Included options listed by Royal Caribbean include the Main Dining Room, Windjammer buffet, AquaDome Market, Sorrento’s pizza, and El Loco Fresh. They offer alternatives to paying for specialty dining every night.
The ship also has specialty experiences such as Hollywoodland Supper Club and Royal Railway – Legend Station. Check the cruise planner for the price and availability of anything you want to reserve. Our booking currently has My Time Dining.
Cabin considerations
We’ve booked a Neighborhood Balcony; the specific cabin and view are still awaiting assignment.
When comparing cabins, look beyond the category name: check the balcony outlook, sleeping arrangement, and position on the deck plan. Those details will be central to our cabin review.
Kids & family activities
Royal Caribbean lists Category 6 waterpark, Splashaway Bay, a carousel, mini golf, and kids and teen programs among its included activities. Individual attractions have participation requirements, so check the current age and height rules before planning around them.
Leave space between activities for meals, quieter breaks, and time together. A full schedule isn’t the only way to enjoy a large ship.
